Olympic Round-Up

Aly Raisman had a great day at the Olympics today. She won bronze on the Balance Beam after tying for third place (again) but this time the tie-breaker rules were in her favor. She capped of the day by winning gold on floor. So she gets to leave London with two Olympic gold medals and one bronze.

USA also had a good day in track and field. In the 110m hurdles, Dawn Harper took silver and Kellie Wells claimed bronze. It was also exceptionally awesome because Lolo Jones placed 4th. So for the second straight Olympics she didn't medal and was a national disappointment. She's track and field's Anna Kournikova. That's not a compliment.

Team USA also saw three more Olympians claim silver medals. Leo Manzano did in the Men's 1500m, Sarah Hammer in the Women's Omnium, and Erik Kynard in Men's High Jump.
Go USA!

USA now has 30 gold, 19 silver and 21 bronze for 70 medals total. We are currently second place in the medal race behind China by three.
