Girl Fight

Source: Yahoo Sports
I went out with some friends to watch history be made. What I watched was the first ever female UFC fight. The champion, Ronda Rousey fought contender, Liz Carmouche. My friend, Momma Becker and I took bets like always. She took Rousey as she was defending her title and thought she looked ready to rumble. I took Carmouche as she is a USA Veteran, did three tours of duty as a Marine. Liz is also openly gay. I know, I know, shocker. Well Rousey won with an arm bar with 14 seconds left in the first round. That would make Rousey's seventh first round win by arm bar. I lost. Oh well,  I'm always taking the Vet. This fight totally made up for the snooze fest that was Henderson vs. Machida the event before.I think it's great that Dana White and the UFC have embraced and invited women into this sport. Kudos!

Also, another great thing that I realized when Carmouche came out was how much she looks like Urijah Faber. It's uncanny especially when they both have mouth pieces in.

The Nieces

The Nieces are doing great. B started going to school recently and she is loving it. She really loves to learn so she is in completely in her element there. M is doing great and starting to come out of her shell more and more. She is turning into quite the sassy pants.
This is the look you give to your Auntie when she tells you to share your cookies with your sister.

Whoops, my bad

Where the h have I been? Its been 2 months since I last blogged. I suck. Its been a busy couple of months. I got a new job with better hours and more pay. Its been hard to adjust my sleeping schedule and to remember I can run errands after work. Then the holidays came with the Sergeant coming home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas for the first time in at least ten years. It was good to have him home. I promise I'll be more diligent in my blogging from now on. I've got lots to catch up the blogiverse up on.

Happy Halloween!

I had an awesome Halloween weekend/week. The Friday before Halloween I went up to Columbia to visit The Officer since she was throwing a party. It was a lot of fun. I forgot how fun just having a house party is. The Asian Sensation and Beckles also came up for the festivities. I'm going to have to go back up again since it was so much fun. In case you were curious I went to that party as a tiger. It's such an easy and comfortable costume it's my go to when I don't have a costume ready. Since we are able to dress up at work and I'm really awesome at doing the faces it was a no brainer for me to go as a toddlers and tiaras princess. Well making that happen was definitely easier said than done. I thought I could just roll into a consignment shop and get a dress. Lies. I couldn't find a damn thing. I was lucky enough to find a body suit/tutu combo and my costume was born from there. I took that, another Tutu and my old prom dress and one of my coworkers was generous enough to create a master piece for me. It turned out to be more awesome than I could ever imagine. I love it. Go ahead and try to tell me I don't look amazing  ..... I'll wait.
Yep, you're seeing that right. Those are lace socks.
Shoot, it's so good that I want to wear out when I'm required to wear something more then jeans and a T-shirt. If you can wear it with confidence then you can wear it.

Oh Dad

So my Dad got up to answer the door after he heard the doorbell ring... on TV.
